We are committed to continuously improving our energy efficiency. We define our strategic and operational goals at regular intervals and monitor their implementation in order to improve our energy efficiency. To this end, we are committed to providing the information, resources and means necessary to achieve our strategic and operational objectives. We integrate our employees into our management system. Compliance with the relevant legal requirements is an obligation and a matter of course for us. In procurement, we pay attention to energy-efficient products and services.

Production. Quality Protection. Environmental Protection.

For over 155 years, Trasswerke MEURIN has stood for sustainable business and future-oriented resource management. The careful approach toward nature is guaranteed from extraction to production and replanting. The modern building materials are produced with a very low energy requirement and meet high environmental and economical standards throughout their entire service life.

MEURIN products are subject to internal and external inspections. The internal inspection takes place in the factory’s own laboratory.

The external inspection comprises several stages. The following institutions support Trasswerke MEURIN in fulfilling its commitment to quality assurance: Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (German Institute for Building Technology), Fraunhofer-Institut für Bauphysik (Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics), Thüringer Landesamt für Bautechnik (Thuringian State Office for Building Technology), IBAC-Institut Bauforschung (IBAC Building Research Institute) of RTWH Aachen and MPVA Neuwied.

The conformity of our products with the applicable standards and approvals is checked and confirmed within the scope of external monitoring. This confirmation is represented by the mark of conformity.

We work together with other companies in an energy efficiency network in order to increase energy efficiency through a systematic, targeted and straightforward exchange of experience and ideas in order to sustainably reduce CO² emissions.

MEURIN cooperates with the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V (Construction and Environment Institute). The environmental product declarations (EPD) have already given PUMIX lightweight concrete-wall building materials and MEURIN noise protection elements an extremely positive evaluation. The EPD for trass is currently being processed. Only MEURIN trass cement is used in the manufacture of PUMIX precision concrete and masonry blocks. As a member of the Bau- und Energienetzwerk Mittelrhein (Middle Rhein construction and energy network), MEURIN is committed to energy-saving and sustainable construction.
